Recommended Books:

Here are books we recommend about working out, optimal eating, sleep, and how to self-treat muscle knots that may be causing you pain.

These books might also be helpful …

  • BACK PAIN: Healing Back Pain by John Sarno. My web designer Sean claims that reading this book seems to have permanently cured him after years of debilitating back pain. He says he was skeptical but it worked for him. With that recommendation, it might be worth a read if you are experiencing back pain.
  • STOP SMOKING: The Easy Way to Stop Smoking by Allen Carr. Several former smokers have told me that they read this book, put it down, and never pick up a cigarette again. I read it out of curiosity and it seemed plausible it could work. Also, the thinking seems similar to what might cure sugar and carb addicts…so if you’re a sugar addict and try this out (substituting “sugar” when the author mentions cigarettes), let us know how it goes for you!
  • MORE ON SLEEP: Take a Nap, Change Your Life by Sara Mednick. A 20-minute midday nap may improve your net daily productivity…not to mention your quality of life. It could also improve your nighttime sleep. That’s the thesis of this well-researched book; to the extent I’ve followed the advice, I’ve found it to be true.
  • BE MORE ORGANIZED AND STRESS-FREE: Getting Things Done by David Allen. This book compiles and integrates many useful best practices for organizing work and life with the goal of getting more of what is important done while being more stress-free as we navigate our chaotic daily lives.
